We have decided to not open our dining room for the time being but please understand that we are trying to do our part to keep this virus under control. We WILL continue to offer take-out, curbside, Door Dash and Uber Eats. We have portable units so that you can still use your card right from your car or you can pay by manual entry when you place your order. We also have online ordering so that you can order and pay online at www.burkesgrill.com. Please remember your servers even if it is to go. This is their livelihood. And please be patient. We only have one phone number and we are running with basically one server and 2 kitchen people at all times.

Now that that’s all been said, happy Thursday morning, y’all! We close at 7 tonight. We do have chicken and dumplings and meat loaf today and we have our regular lunch fare of fried chicken, chicken fried steak, beefsteak Parmesan and lemon basil roasted chicken. Pasta e Fagioli soup today. Elle, Richard and Shakari are in the house today so make sure you order and come say hi to them!

Sunday, April 26

I wanted to apologize for the glitch in our on line ordering system. I didn’t realize until last night that it showed we were closed. I have corrected it but it may still show us as closed today because it take a few days for the system to correct itself. We ARE open today you just may not be able to order online. I am sorry I didn’t notice it sooner.  We wanted to remind you that we do offer take out, curbside, Door Dash and Uber Eats if you want Burke’s brought to your door. We will continue to follow protocol and guidelines by our local health department and the CDC.

Happy Sunday y’all! Today we close at 3. For brunch and lunch we have our usual Sunday specials: a brunch bowl, pimento cheese fried green tomato BLT and chicken and waffles in addition to our normal lunch fare. You can get a “regular” waffle or you can get our “special” jalapeno cornmeal waffle with sriracha syrup. We can cook you an omelet pretty much any combo you want but you need to try our pimento cheese and bacon… SO GOOD!

Today we are featuring our wild caught Alaskan Salmon which can be prepared grilled, lemon peppered,blackened or honey glazed. We also have 10 oz rib eye steaks, shrimp and Tilapia. We also have shrimp Creole, shrimp and grits, and a limited number of servings of meat loaf! Our soup today is vegetable.

We will not be opening our dining room tomorrow despite Governor Kemp’s permission to do so. We do not feel like it’s time yet. In light of the chaos going on around us, just a reminder that we have always adhered to strict sanitary measures within our restaurant. In addition to our already stringent policies we wipe down of all common touch areas after anyone comes in the restaurant.

Please realize if you are eating out and whether it be with us or another establishment, we are all having a hard time getting food to maintain the restaurant just like everyone is. So,if we are temporarily out of something, please don’t blame the server or cook, we are trying just as hard as you are to maintain normalcy. Just be nice to each other. Remember that even if you are getting take out or to go to please remember your server, this is their livelihood. We will all get through this (hopefully) temporary situation. We appreciate your continued patronage and patience through these trying times. Every one stay safe and be well.

We’re BAAACKKKK …. open for breakfast that is. Today is Saturday, April 25, and we are opening at 8 for breakfast and closing at 7 today.  Please understand that today we only have 2 people the kitchen so PLEASE be patient. It may take a little longer because it will be Dwight only cooking until noon and Matt only taking care of orders. Madison and Que will be coming in at noon. Call in for take out and and curbside or you can go to burkesgrill.com and order and pay online and call when you get there and they will bring your order to your car.

We can do have most of our menu items back and can fix an omelet pretty much any way you want it. We do have our famous grits, breakfast potatoes, bacon, sausage, breakfast ham, wheat and white toast.  You can also order burgers and our sandwiches with fries if you like. Then lunch items starting at 11. Soup is vegetable.

Please understand we are doing the best we can. We are sanitizing our hand held units and pens between guests and making sure that we do everything possible to keep our guests and employees safe. Again, please be patient. We have one phone line 770-947-2860 and are doing the best we can to accommodate you. Don’t forget your servers and we will be open tomorrow for brunch. We will NOT be opening our dining room on Monday as we feel it’s too soon but will continue to do take-out, curbside and delivery through Uber Eats and Door Dash!

Even though Governor Kemp has given us the go ahead to re-open our dining room on Monday after much soul searching we have made the decision not to open our dining room to the public as of yet. We did not take this decision lightly., but, we feel it’s too soon and will not be a party to putting our employees lives, our guests lives or our own lives at risk. We plan to give it a week or so and see how things go and IF the curve starts to flatten before we that we will reassess. Please understand that we are trying to do our part to keep this virus under control. We WILL continue to offer take-out, curbside, Door Dash and Uber Eats. Both Uber Eats and Door Dash have suspended their delivery fees for the time being. We have portable units so that you can still use your card right from your car or you can pay by manual entry when you place your order. We also have online ordering so that you can order and pay online at www.burkesgrill.com. Please remember your servers even if it is to go. This is their livelihood. And please be patient. Vegetable soup today. We are feeding the 341 employees at Wellstar Hospital today so if we don’t answer when you call please be patient. We’re doing our part to take care of the front line workers that take care of all of us.
