Monday

Today is Monday and since it’s New Year’s Eve we will not be serving red beans and rice today and we are closing at 6. We do have meat loaf and chicken and dumplings today. We also have our regular lunch fare of fried chicken, chicken fried steak, chuck wagon steak, beefsteak Parmesan, lemon basil roasted chicken and our normal array of sandwiches and salads.
Our soup of the day is beef vegetable and our vegetable of the day is field peas and snaps. Our paleo/gluten free feature today is garlic ground beef and turkey and our seafood selection is tilapia which you can choose, lemon pepper, blackened, fried or grilled.
We will be having black eyed peas, turnip greens, ham and corn bread for New Years Day tomorrow as is tradition. You can come in and enjoy it at the restaurant or pick it up today so you don’t have to come in tomorrow (just in case you might imbibe too much tonight!)

Saturday

Happy Saturday!! Breakfast starts at 8 a.m and we go until we run out or 2 p.m. whichever comes first, then we serve lunch and dinner. You can get lunch starting at 11 a.,m. We will close today at 8 p.m.

What better way to start off your weekend than a hot cup of coffee and great breakfast? Bring in your family because we will be serving bacon, sausage, ham, eggs, grits, omelettes, waffles, french toast and more.

Of course we also have our usual fare of the best hand pattied burgers in town along with a variety of other sandwiches, fried chicken, chicken fried steak, etc.

Our soup today is vegetable beef. Our Paleo feature is garlic ground beef and our seafood feature is shrimp Creole.

Yes, we will be having black eyed peas, turnip greens, ham and corn bread for New Years Day as is tradition. You can come in and enjoy it at the restaurant if you can order it ahead by the pint, quart or pan and pick up either New Years Eve or New Years Day. Just call the restaurant and put in your order. We are planning on closing around 6 on New Years Eve so come get your stuff early so you don’t have to come in on New Year’s Day (just in case you might imbibe too much the night before!)

Friday

Today is Friday and we close at 9 p..m. Our lunch specials today includes fried catfish, fried chicken, chicken fried steak, chuck wagon steak, beef steak Parmesan and lemon basil roasted chicken.

Our soup of the day is vegetable beef and our side of the day is Cole slaw. Our featured Paleo selection today is garlic ground beef and turkey and our featured seafood selection to day is shrimp and grits.

Good Monday morning. Today we have no red beans and rice because we are closing at 2. We do have our regular lunch fare of fried chicken, fried catfish, chicken fried steak, beefsteak Parmesan and lemon basil roasted chicken.

Our soup today is vegetable beef and our featured side today is grilled zucchini and onions. We have several seafood and Paleo/gluten free options available.

Our holiday hours are: close today at 2 p.m. Closed tomorrow (Christmas Day) and the 26th and will re-open on the 27th at 11 a.m. We wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. Travel safe if you are traveling and enjoy your friends and family!

Wednesday

Today is Wednesday, Hump day, over the hump, middle of the week whatever you call it. I know it’s gonna be another cold one so come have some come in and get some great meat loaf with mashed potatoes and peas and carrots, just like Dwight likes it.

Our vegetable of the day is peas and carrots. The soup of the day is tomato bisque. A hearty bowl of soup and half a sandwich is just what you need to warm your bones on a blustery day like today!We have several Paleo items on our menu and both Tilapia and Salmon in addition to Shrimp Creole and Shrimp and grits.

Tuesday

This is last week to order your goodies for Christmas dinner. Remember to call in and order your pans of mac n cheese, dressing or your favorite veggies or pies. Our hours for next week are: regular hours through Sunday, December 23rd. On Christmas Eve, December 24th we will close at 2:00 p.m. and will be closed the 25th and 26th and re-open on Thursday the 27th at 11:00 a.m.

Good Monday morning. Dwight says a big bowl of red beans and rice and a cold beer is like a little slice of heaven! We close at 9 tonight but the red beans and rice are first come, first served, so come and get some before they run out.
